I searched amazon for "The Window Over the Way" and it only came up with a few used copies available. From your blog, it's good, but apparently it didn't catch on. Simenon's was not a successful meme. I'll have to look for the book sometime.
Actually, Simenon is a famous writer in the mystery genre -- he was the author of the Maigret series. He was an extemely prolific author as well. I generally find one or two of his regular fiction books tucked in with the mysteries in a used book store since most folks don't realize they're not really mysteries in the strict sense.

The sad thing is that I've read about half of those books and can't even remember them. Where have all my brain cells gone? Except for the fantasy ones, I remember those. Guess that shows where my priorities are, huh!
Funny, I never recollect books either. Or movies. Songs, however, are a different story (no pun intended). Someone needs to tap into the reason for that and change the way kids learn.
Anyway. Lovely Bones is excellent. The Handmaid's Tale is one of my favs. And The Chronicles of Narnia (first book being The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe) that is my favorite of all time.
