I also wet the fabric before I put any of the paint on...well, not entirely true as some of my green paint spurted out when I was putting it in my paint tray. OK... so I wet the fabric after I spurted the paint on it but in general it was wet on wet. The spring cotton is a bit on the stiff side so I wouldn't use it in something I was going to wear, but for something that hangs on the wall, it was just fine. I ironed it this morning between a couple of paper towels and that made it a wee bit less stiff.

On a side note, when I was living in Candada, I bought some fabric dye called "Colour Vie" which can be applied like paint but isn't as stiff. I've not seen it for sale in the states, but I think you can order it from their website. It is, alas, not $0.99USD a bottle....

P.S. Feeling much better today thanks to all the fuzz therapy. ;)Balweariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10822608174664238150noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9756265.post-1128976608961981652005-10-10T15:36:00.000-05:002005-10-10T15:36:00.000-05:00OMG, I LOVE, Love, Love your spring-colored fabric...OMG, I LOVE, Love, Love your spring-colored fabric! I know nothing about dyeing fabric so in my book, you're a goddess. Kiss kitty-kat for me, and take some vitamin C for yourself. :-)Newpeep, N.D. I'm interested in hearing your take on it.

Hope you are feeling better.Sonji Hunthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13635126749504933011noreply@blogger.com
